Steve Harmon at first refused to leave today's Silicon Valley-Lubbock game after he suffered a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I want to be on the field," the feisty Lubbock starting pitcher said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Harmon out of action for 11-12 months.

To date this season, Harmon has a record of 3 wins and 1 loss and a 6.75 ERA. He has appeared in 10 games and struck out 29 in 40 innings.
