Hit Streak Over, Marxists Stop Eilers Saturday, May 26th, 2018 The Prussian Marxists pitching did its job today, holding hot-hitting Mason Eilers hitless in 5 at-bats during a 5-4 victory over the Yorba Linda Mustangs at The Bird Stadium. This disappointing performance ended his 22-game hitting streak. "I'm a little down right now," Eilers said after the game. "I couldn't get anything going when the team needed me, and I hated to see the streak end, too." This year Eilers has hit at a .376 clip with 53 RBIs, 13 home runs and 40 runs scored. |
