Sargent, Vásquez Suspended for Fracas Sunday, May 13th, 2018 Today the league office handed out 5-game suspensions to Chet Sargent of the Marxists and Héctor Vásquez of the Wolves for their roles in a benches-clearing skirmish at The Bird Stadium yesterday. The league commissioner said in the statement to both organizations, "This league does not condone fighting and aggressive conduct on the field, thus we had to take action to discourage this behavior in the future." This year Sargent has hit at a .244 pace and produced 13 RBIs, 4 home runs and scored 15 runs. Vásquez has compiled an ERA of 10.24 so far this season, winning 1 games with no losses and no saves. In 15 relief appearances he has hurled 19.1 innings, yielded 31 hits and struck out 19. Opposing hitters have batted .373 against Vásquez. |
