Barnett of Anniston Player of the Week Monday, June 4th, 2012 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Alexander Cartwright League, but last week Josh Barnett of the Anniston Cougars reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Barnett rocked opposing pitching for a .579 average (11-19), 1 home run and 5 RBIs to come away with the award. So far this season Barnett is batting .200 with 4 home runs, 17 RBIs and 22 runs scored. He has 33 hits in 165 at-bats, 26 walks and a .306 OBP. Barnett has played in 52 games. |
