Wolves Pitching Ravaged by Cooke Sunday, June 4th, 2017 Shane Cooke was on fire today and sparked his club to a 10-4 victory over the Wolves. The Asheville second baseman was a tough out and went 5 for 5 against Lake of the Isles in a fine hitting display. "I got my pitches and I connected. They all found the right holes on the diamond. Some days you hit shots and they're right at somebody... and some days they fall in." Shane Cooke hit a solo-shot off Tulon Yildizoglu in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 7th. This year Cooke is hitting .278, produced 23 RBIs and 2 home runs, scored 30 times and gotten on base at a .378 rate. |
