Wood Takes ACL's Best Bat Trophy Thursday, September 1st, 2016 Alden Wood put together a good August to earn the Alexander Cartwright League Batter of the Month prize. A virtual unknown, he made the most of his chance to prove to Asheville officials that he belongs on the big league roster. The Tourists right fielder posted a .376 batting average with 4 home runs, 21 RBIs and 19 runs scored. In 2016 Wood has hit at a .316 clip with 142 hits, 16 home runs, 82 RBIs and has scored 70 times. |
