Wolverines Reliever Blair Injured
Wednesday, August 10th, 2016
The Wichita Wolverines learned that Gabriel Blair is likely to be out for 10 months after he injured himself throwing a pitch in today's game against the Rock River Rats. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the Wichita manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Gabriel is back in action."

This season Blair has picked up 1 save and posted a 1-1 record with a 3.52 ERA. He has 14 relief appearances, tossed 23 innings and struck out 15.
