Dennis Grabs ACL Best Batter Award for May Wednesday, June 1st, 2016 For a rookie just breaking in, Shawn Dennis certainly put together a successful month. It was good enough to win the ACL Batter of the Month award for May. The 25-year-old first baseman for the Grand Haven Whitecaps hit .371 with 3 home runs, 21 RBIs and 26 runs scored. This year Dennis is hitting .332 with 10 home runs and 51 RBIs in 52 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .440 with 36 walks and 44 runs scored. |
