Hit Parade: Fujihara Gets Cycle
Friday, October 3rd, 2014
It was his day, but the Newark Jail Birds overcame a cycle by Natsume Fujihara in a 10-4 victory over the Frisco Rams at Cobras Ballpark today.
"It feels good for me, but it would have felt even better if we had won that ballgame," Fujihara told the press corps. "I still enjoy it, but I would've liked to win the ballgame, too."
He cracked 4 hits in 5 at-bats, had 2 RBI and 2 runs scored. Although his team lost, the Rams third baseman will still get his place in the record books.
Fujihara on the season is hitting .212 with 5 home runs. His stats include 46 RBIs and 47 runs scored.
