Kitamura Rips Ottawa for 5 Hits Tuesday, July 8th, 2014 All game long Blackpool's Soshu Kitamura was rattling the walls at Bloomfield Road and banging out base hits against the Ottawa Outlaws. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Gamblers had a 10-0 victory. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 22-year-old second baseman said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Soshu Kitamura singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 5th and singled in the 7th. This year Kitamura is hitting .337, produced 19 RBIs and 1 home runs, scored 32 times and gotten on base at a .394 rate. |
