Fort Worth's Dodd to Miss 14 Months Tuesday, August 21st, 2012 Fort Worth fans held their breath as John Dodd left yesterday's Diablos-Cats contest with an injury. After the game, the team's medical staff said that the 25-year-old closer had suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow while throwing a pitch. It's estimated that he will be out 14 months. So far this year Dodd has delivered 17 saves. In 42 relief appearances he has 35 strikeouts in 42.2 innings with a 1.69 ERA and a 2-4 won-lost mark. |
