Amarillo's Kobayashi Gets Cy Young Award Sunday, October 27th, 2019 The Cy Young Award for 2019 has been presented and the Kade Stenson League winner is Nobuhiko Kobayashi of Amarillo. "It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Kobayashi. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Horseman star told reporters. Kobayashi excelled with an impressive 13-2 record in 33 starts. In 188.1 innings he yielded 163 hits and 97 walks, while striking out 224 and compiling a fine 4.01 ERA. |
