Acapulco's Lorenzo Castro Injured
Sunday, September 15th, 2019
After the end of today's game between Acapulco and South Bay, Lorenzo Castro skipped the clubhouse and headed straight for the doctor's office. After he was removed from the game as a precaution after running the bases, the Banditos had their worst fears confirmed when it turned out to be more serious. The first baseman will miss at least 10 months with a torn posterior cruciate ligament.
Thus far this season in 62 games Castro is batting .316 with 17 home runs, 47 RBIs and 55 runs scored. He has 73 hits in 231 at-bats.
