RF Bowles Receives 5-Game Suspension Thursday, September 5th, 2019 Acapulco right fielder Mike Bowles was ejected in the game between the Banditos and Cacti for letting loose a profanity-laced tirade against the home plate umpire after some calls didn't go the way he wanted. Bowles was just as incensed after the game. "These guys are a joke. How can people expect to take this game seriously when you have games like this?" Bowles said in the locker room after the game. Now Bowles must face the consequences of this actions. League officials released this brief statement to the media: "We are regretful that Bowles has taken this to the level that it has reached. The league will not tolerate this type of conduct. Due to his actions during and after the game, the league is suspending him for 5 games." On the season, Bowles is batting .265 with 13 home runs and 63 RBIs. He has played in 135 games. |
