5 Hits for Warriors Hatch Monday, September 2nd, 2019 History in the making. That's what the fans at Ashton Gate got to see today in the Mdewanketon 10-4 triumph over the Warriors. Paul Hatch of the Westwood came to the plate 5 times and came away with a dynamite day as he exploded for 5 hits against the Sabercats. "It was a great day for me, but a disappointing one for our fans," he said to the reporters covering the game. "I wish I could have won it for them. They like stats, but they love winning." In the postgame press conference the Mdewanketon skipper quipped to reporters, "Hey, we tried to get him out. We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the kitchen sink. I am just glad we escaped with a win. Hatch was lethal." Paul Hatch singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. So far this year Hatch is batting .264 with no home runs. |
