Joplin's Yates Top BCL Batter in August Sunday, September 1st, 2019 The most recent Blake Camden League Batter of the Month trophy was awarded to first baseman Bobby Yates of the Joplin Fireballs. In August he stood head and shoulders above all other batters by hitting .330 with 8 home runs, 24 RBIs and 19 runs scored. Yates is swinging at a .284 pace on the year with 23 home runs, 100 RBIs and 72 runs scored. He has played in 132 games. |
