Cunningham Bashes 5 Base Hits Thursday, August 22nd, 2019 William Cunningham was on fire today and the Indian Wells first baseman was a tough out, but it was all in vain as the Aeropostales fell 16-12 to the Cacti. For the game he went 5 for 6 against Albuquerque in a fine hitting display. "I got my pitches and I connected. They all found the right holes on the diamond. Some days you hit shots and they're right at somebody... and some days they fall in. We just didn't get enough hits at the right time." William Cunningham hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, tripled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Thus far this year Cunningham is hitting .297 with 14 home runs, 62 RBIs and 58 runs scored. |
