Red-Hot Cooke Scorches Sabercats Sunday, August 18th, 2019 Bulls second baseman,Shane Cooke, had his way with Mdewanketon pitching today at Mystic Lake Stadium and mauled them for 5 hits in 6 at-bats, but it was all in vain. The Sabercats ruined his great day by outscoring the Bulls 13-11. He told reporters after the game, "I had a great day, but you got to give Mdewanketon credit, they did what they had to do to win the game. They weren't very impressed with my 5 hits after all is said and done. They did what they had to do -- win the game." The Sabercats skipper added, "Oh, I think we noticed what Cooke did today. He had quite a game. I can tell you this, we will pitch him a little differently the next time we face him." Shane Cooke singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th. For the year Cooke is hitting .298 with 17 home runs. His stats include 64 RBI and 76 runs scored. |
