Warriors Whitewashed by Vallance Tuesday, July 23rd, 2019 Johnny Vallance of the Fort Worth Cats spun his magic on the Westwood Warriors today. He blanked them 7-0 on 2 hits, registering 10 strikeouts and 2 walks. "The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Vallance said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down." Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, the Fort Worth skipper said, "We got solid pitching, good defense and we took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations. This was just a solid performance by everyone." In 21 starts this season, Vallance has recorded 12 wins and absorbed 5 losses. He has pitched 128 innings, allowed 146 hits, struck out 123 and has a 4.99 ERA. |
