Cats Whitehead No-Hits Sabercats Tuesday, June 25th, 2019 "This is one of the best moments of my life," Ralph Whitehead said. "You never think that's going to happen -- a no-hitter." He made those comments after he held the Sabercats hitless in the Fort Worth 4-0 victory at Mystic Lake Stadium. "We simply couldn't get any wood on the ball," said the Mdewanketon manager, when asked about his epic performance. "Whitehead was brilliant out there. He certainly had our number." Whitehead was more humble about his historic feat and told BNN reporters that he was "just happy to get the win for the club." He faced only 39 batters in the no-hit gem, struck out 6 and walked 4. This season Whitehead has worked 96.2 innings with 63 strikeouts en route to a 3-7 record and a 4.38 ERA. |
