Death Stars Howard and Fireballs Hernández Suspended for Fight Saturday, June 22nd, 2019 The fans at The Death Star saw it all yesterday in the Death Stars-Fireballs game -- pushes, shoves, scuffles, a few tackles, a few swings, a few feeble punches -- and a baseball game, too. When the ruckus was over, only two players were sent to the showers by the umpire crew. Detroit's Connor Howard and Joplin's Pedro Hernández were ejected from the game. Today the two players were suspended 8 games by the league commissioner. This year Howard is hitting .304 with 7 home runs and 37 RBIs in 44 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .394 with 21 walks and 29 runs scored. This season Hernández has compiled a 2-7 mark with a 5.32 ERA in 16 starts. |
