BCL's #1 Player, Alonso of Astoria Monday, June 10th, 2019 Blake Camden League pitchers will attest that it was tough to get Alfonso Alonso of the Astoria Argonauts out last week. His all-around performance at the plate made him the league's most recent Player of the Week. The 24-year-old second baseman boasted a .500 average with 3 home runs, 5 RBIs and 9 runs scored. Alonso went 12-24 for the week. So far this year Alonso has hit .272 with 10 home runs, 34 RBIs and 40 runs scored. |
