Banditos Henneberry Smacks 5 Hits Sunday, May 26th, 2019 It doesn't happen very often, but it happened for John Henneberry -- a 5-hit day. He went on a rampage at Underdogs Ballpark and paced the Banditos to a 10-4 win over the Indian Wells Aeropostales. After his dynamite batting performance the Acapulco first baseman told the press, "I just tried to get myself in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid some great dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 5 tries and put his name in the record book. John Henneberry singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Joe Dinneen in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Tynan Gibson in the 8th. To date Henneberry has chalked up a .316 average with 6 home runs, driven in 14 runs and scored 15 times. |
