O'Donnell's 23-Game Hitting Streak Ends
Thursday, May 16th, 2019
Billings second baseman Reese O'Donnell came into today's game against the Detroit Death Stars on a hot streak. When it was over, the Death Stars did their job very well. They beat the Billings Mustangs 12-8 and cooled him off at the same time. Detroit stopped O'Donnell without a hit and his 23-game hitting streak came to an end.

The 28-year-old O'Donnell only had a few words to say after the game, "I had a chance to do it and I came up short."

His manager commented, "What Reese did was exciting and quite an achievement. It's tough enough to get one hit in this league, much less go 23 games in a row. I'm really proud of him. And I'm even more proud of the way he handled the press coverage. He never let the frenzy get to him or affect his play."
