Trouble in Amarillo, Yamasaki Suffers Setback
Sunday, May 12th, 2019
Amarillo center fielder Kiyonobu Yamasaki reportedly suffered a setback this week while rehabilitating a strained hamstring. Preliminary tests showed the injury has gotten worse and would need more time to be completely healed. An unidentified team official said it looked like it would be at least 3 weeks before Yamasaki would be able to return to the active roster. Yamasaki will see a specialist tomorrow.
This season Yamasaki is swinging the bat at a .394 pace. He has hit 5 home runs and scored 25 times, while driving in 17. His on-base percentage is .430 and he has played in 22 games.
