Lewin Raps Fort Worth for 5 Hits Tuesday, May 7th, 2019 "Ever since I picked up my first bat my coaches were always saying to keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing... just make contact and ya never know what'll happen," Antioch's Ethan Lewin told reporters after the game. "That's all I did today. I made contact and it turned out well." It definitely turned out well for Lewin today as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats against Fort Worth. It turned out well for his team, too, as the Coal Miners knocked off the Cats 8-4 at LaGrave Field. Ethan Lewin hit a solo-shot off Takashi Yamasaki in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 7th. Looking at his stats this year, Lewin has compiled a .317 batting average, while hitting 4 home runs and driving in 13 runs. He has played in 17 games and scored 11 runs. |
