5-Hit Barrage by Rice Saturday, May 4th, 2019 "It was almost like batting practice. I saw the ball very well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted." That's what Philadelphia right fielder Cory Rice said to BNN reporters after his fantastic 5-5 day against the Indian Wells Aeropostales at Stars Field. "I got some good counts and used the whole field." The Freedom had a good day, too, and won the ballgame 18-8. Cory Rice singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th, walked in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 9th. Rice on the season is batting .319 with 6 home runs. His totals include 36 RBIs and 22 runs scored. He has played in 31 games. |
