5-5 Game for Clayton
Saturday, April 27th, 2019
It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Skip Clayton of the Acapulco Banditos. Clayton went on a tear at Underdogs Ballpark and cracked hit after hit off Coronado pitching.
When the dust settled on the diamond, the 25-year-old right fielder had a career 5-5 day and something he will long remember. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but I don't think I'll tell 'em we lost," he joked in the BNN postgame interview.
Clayton got the accolades today, but the Coronado Phantoms walked off the field with a 10-5 win.
Skip Clayton singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Tadasuke Kato in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
Clayton is hitting at a .389 mark this season. His stats show 4 home runs, 20 RBIs and 18 runs scored. He has played 23 games for the Banditos.
