Hits Galore: Thompson Drills 5 Hits Wednesday, April 17th, 2019 Thanks to Wilford Thompson and his big bat, the Death Stars derailed the Minneapolis Freeze 13-8 today at The Ice Box. The Detroit right fielder had a standout game with 5 hits in 5 at-bats. Wilford Thompson hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Jim Clark in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and was hit by a pitch in the 9th. This season Thompson is hitting at a .361 pace with 3 home runs, 19 RBIs and has scored 15 times. |
