Thompson on Fire, 5-5 Against El Paso Monday, April 8th, 2019 It was a sensational day at the plate for Taylor Thompson as he led the charge to a 14-2 win over the Diablos. The Coronado left fielder was pure misery for the El Paso pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. The manager for the Diablos told BNN reporters after the game, "Thompson put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Taylor Thompson singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jim Lyons in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 6th and singled in the 8th. |
