Willis's 24-Game Hitting Streak Ends Friday, August 24th, 2018 John Willis's 24-game hitting streak has now come and gone. It was snapped today in the Freedom 6-0 setback to the Death Stars. Willis went without a hit in 4 trips to the plate. Talking to BNN after the game he was visibly upset. But the streak had little to do with it. "I'm disappointed we lost, I'm not one bit disappointed that the streak ended," Willis said. "The hitting streak was just one of those things where it was fun while it lasted, but I'm not going to lose any sleep tonight." Presently Willis is batting .339 with 41 hits and 1 home run. He has knocked in 17 runs and scored 25 times. |
