Williams Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits
Tuesday, April 24th, 2018
Players get multihit games all the time. But a 5-hit game comes around only once in a blue moon. It happened at Hell Stadium when Steve Williams of Acapulco scattered 5 hits all over the ballpark against the El Paso Diablos.
He walloped 5 hits in 6 at-bats in his career-day performance to help the Banditos get by the Diablos 15-6.
In a talkative and jovial mood after the game, the third baseman of the Banditos said, "Whoa, my swing was really, really there today. I made some good, sweet-spot contact and when that happens... good things happen... like 5-6. I could get used to a lot of days like this one."
Steve Williams singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Keith Wright in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th, tripled in the 7th and struck out in the 8th.
Williams has collected 15 hits for the Banditos this year, 3 of them home runs. He has also netted 11 RBIs and scored 13 runs while batting .319.
