Sweetapple Slaps 5 Hits Friday, April 13th, 2018 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-5 day. It might come around only once in a career -- a lot of players never have one -- but Jeremy Sweetapple got one today. He scattered hits all over Albuquerque Sports Stadium to pace Albuquerque to a 9-2 victory over Westwood. The Westwood skipper told reporters in the press room, "Tip your hat to him. He hit some good pitches. According to the scouting report, Sweetapple hit several that he is not supposed to hit." Jeremy Sweetapple doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 5th and doubled in the 8th. This year Sweetapple is batting .351 with no home runs and 3 RBIs. |
