Pantoja Sidelined for 4 Months Wednesday, August 23rd, 2017 The Springfield Reformers will lose the services of reliever Alberto Pantoja after he sustained a bone spur in his elbow while throwing a pitch in today's game against the Billings Mustangs. "I'll get through it," Pantoja said. "The key now is to stay positive." His trainer said he is expected to be sidelined for 4 months. To date this year, he has registered 6 saves, 6 wins and 5 losses with a 2.90 ERA. Pantoja has made 52 relief appearances, worked a total of 68.1 innings and surrendered 57 hits. He has fanned 41, issued 27 free passes and held opposing clubs to a .235 batting average. |
