20 Games in a Row for Manning
Saturday, June 17th, 2017
Minneapolis could care less about Doug Manning's hitting streak. All they care about is who won the game. The Freeze manager told BNN, "Not to belittle his streak, but at the end of the day, the important thing is winning the game, not stopping a hitting streak."
Well, the Freeze didn't stop Doug Manning today, but they won the game 9-7 over the Raiders. The Reno right fielder was 2-for-5 in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. Doug Manning struck out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 7th and flied out in the 9th.
Batting .333 to date, Manning has 4 home runs and 11 RBIs.
