El Paso Loses C Wells, Suspended by League Friday, May 26th, 2017 El Paso Diablos catcher Fraser Wells was suspended 3 games by the league commissioner today, a day after arguing his ejection during a game against the Indian Wells Aeropostales. "I think the 3 games are a little harsh," Wells said. He was ejected by plate umpire for arguing balls and strikes. After his ejection, Wells went into the dugout, then came back on the field, argued with the umpire and had to be restrained by coaches and teammates. The suspension was issued for "unbecoming conduct and returning to the field of play after being dismissed." Wells is currently batting .237 with no home runs and 2 RBIs. |
