League Suspends Raptors O'Higgins 5 Games Sunday, May 21st, 2017 Reese O'Higgins of the Toledo Raptors became belligerent after a third-strike call in the game against Albuquerque yesterday at Albuquerque Sports Stadium. Today, the Raptors second baseman addressed his battle with the umps and the ejection that resulted in a 5-game suspension by the league. O'Higgins said the league report submitted to the league by the umpiring crew did not tell whole story. "They conveniently left out the names they called me." In a statement the league said the suspension was because O'Higgins returned to the field after the first argument had subsided. This year O'Higgins has hit at a .340 pace and produced 16 RBIs, 1 home run and scored 21 runs. |
