Ross Cracks 3 HRs for Minneapolis Saturday, April 29th, 2017 Matt Ross was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the Minneapolis 11-2 triumph over Pasadena, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands. Nobody who was at The Hole will forget this home run outburst anytime soon. The Minneapolis third baseman went 3-4, rung up 4 RBIs and scored 4 runs on his record-setting day. He told the press corps after his three home run binge, "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight. I can't wait until tomorrow's game. I really feel good at the plate." Matt Ross hit a two-run home run off Ziggy Quinn in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Ziggy Quinn in the 5th, walked in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Phil Woodard in the 8th. For the season, Ross is hitting at a .278 clip with 8 home runs, 23 RBIs and has scored 22 runs. He has 25 hits, 15 walks and a .393 on-base percentage. |
