Delaney Launches 3 HR for Smugglers Friday, September 30th, 2016 It wasn't your average day at the ballpark. The fans witnessed Lee Delaney power his way into the record book with three home runs and propel the Bristol City Smugglers to a 10-3 win over the El Paso Diablos. He spoke with reporters after his historic day. "I've always loved hitting in Hell Stadium. You can see the ball so well." For the day he collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, scored 3 runs and had 4 RBIs. Lee Delaney hit a solo-shot off Ernie Peters in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Ernie Peters in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Ernie Peters in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and walked in the 8th. So far this season Delaney is batting .289 with 16 home runs. |
