Hit Streak Now at 20 for McConnell
Tuesday, August 2nd, 2016
Kevin McConnell's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 20 games. The Astoria first baseman smacked 1 hit against Acapulco in today's game at Golden Fleece Park to extend it, but he has mixed emotions about it.
After losing to the Acapulco Banditos, McConnell told reporters, "I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose."
Kevin McConnell grounded out in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Aaron Taylor in the 7th and walked in the 8th.
McConnell is batting .302 with 16 home runs and 58 RBIs this season.
