Silva Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games Monday, August 1st, 2016 Bristol City could care less about César Silva's hitting streak. All they care about is who won the game. The Smugglers manager told BNN, "Not to belittle his streak, but at the end of the day, the important thing is winning the game, not stopping a hitting streak." Well, the Smugglers didn't stop César Silva today, but they won the game 10-4 over the Coal Miners. The Antioch first baseman was 1-for-4 in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. César Silva struck out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, grounded out in the 7th and walked in the 9th. This year Silva has hit at a .282 pace and produced 59 RBIs, 11 home runs and scored 85 runs. |
