Guenette: Big Hit in the Blake Camden League Monday, September 14th, 2015 27-year-old Dave Guenette made a few Astoria headlines during this past week as the rookie third baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Blake Camden League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 12 hits in 27 at-bats to put up a .444 average. Guenette collected 3 home runs, 9 RBIs and scored 8 runs. So far this season Guenette has hit .304 with 19 home runs, 58 RBIs and and scored 50 times. |
