Phantoms Quintana Raps 3 Homers

Bombs away! Coronado bombardier Juan Quintana set his sights on the stands and blasted three balls over the fence in a 14-8 win over the Birmingham Bobcats. It was a powerful performance that should keep the fans at Bobcats Field buzzing for days.
He spoke to the writers in the postgame press room and said, "I guess you could say I was a good guesser today... especially on the last one... I was ahead in the count, so I got set for a certain pitch... and got it... all of it."
For the game the Coronado first baseman had 4 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 4 and scored 4 runs.
Juan Quintana hit a solo-shot off Mark Watson in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Bob Hendricks in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jeff Parks in the 6th, walked in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th.
This year Quintana is hitting at a .383 pace with 10 home runs and 37 RBIs. He has played in 36 games and scored 25 times.
