Wicklund Picked Best Player Monday, August 10th, 2015 25-year-old Clarence Wicklund made a few St. John headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Kade Stenson League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 9 hits in 23 at-bats to put up a .391 average. Wicklund collected 4 home runs, 11 RBIs and scored 5 runs. To date Wicklund has chalked up a .304 average with 24 home runs, driven in 78 runs and scored 86 times. |
