Bronx's Carlton Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits
Saturday, May 2nd, 2015
5 hits in 5 at-bats. It doesn't happen every day, and when it does, it's exciting. Today Eric Carlton of the Bronx Bombers had a sensational 5-5 game against Astoria at Golden Fleece Park. He rifled base hits all over the ballpark in his team's 10-5 shellacking of the Argonauts.

In the postgame press conference he joked, "Heck, that's a week's worth of hitting for me and I did it all in one day. I guess I can take the rest of the week off... Right, skipper?"

Eric Carlton hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, walked in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 9th.

This season Carlton has 4 home runs and a .277 batting average.
