Daniel Parks Wallops 3 Homers for Cats
Friday, October 3rd, 2014
It was a good day for Fort Worth and an exceptional day for Daniel Parks. The 23-year-old first baseman sent three bombs out of the park to help the Cats beat the Bristol City Smugglers 9-2 at LaGrave Field.
Following the game, he was asked about his performance. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Parks commented, "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day."
For the day he scored 4 times, drove in 6 runs and smacked 4 hits in 4 at-bats.
Daniel Parks hit a two-run home run off Soren Wunderlich in the 1st, hit an RBI triple in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Soren Wunderlich in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Foster Koch in the 6th and walked in the 8th.
In 155 games this year Parks has posted a .299 average and put up these numbers: 34 home runs, 116 RBIs and 91 runs scored.
