Gerardo Vázquez Sidelined for 10 Months Wednesday, September 10th, 2014 The injury bug struck Gerardo Vázquez of the Coal Miners today in the game against Bombers. The 30-year-old reliever was hurt while throwing a pitch and will miss 10 months with a stretched elbow ligament. Taking a look at his season, Vázquez has made 42 relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 1-0 won-lost mark and a 3.59 ERA. In pitching 52.2 innings, he has totaled 73 strikeouts and 30 walks. |
