Sabercats Starter Named May's Premier Pitcher Sunday, June 1st, 2014 Franklin Cox hasn't been around the big leagues long enough to know that youngsters shouldn't be winning Kade Stenson League Pitcher of the Month. But when you put up numbers like his, you're going to get some notice. In May the Mdewanketon starter earned a 5-0 mark in 6 starts. He threw 45.1 innings, struck out 31 and compiled a solid 1.99 ERA. Presently Cox has a 5-2 mark in 10 starts with a 2.66 ERA. He has given up 57 hits in 71 innings, struck out 45 and issued 18 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .213 batting average against him. |
