Smith Hits for Cycle Against Durham Wednesday, May 7th, 2014 The Indian Wells fans had a lot to cheer about today as Bill Smith hit for the cycle en route to a 8-7 victory over the Durham Bulls. The 26-year-old center fielder led the way with 2 RBI and 5 hits. Bill Smith singled in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, tripled in the 7th, walked in the 8th, singled in the 10th and hit a solo-shot off Mark Scott in the 12th. This year Smith has hit at a .344 clip with 21 hits, 4 home runs, 9 RBIs and 11 runs scored. |
