BCL's Top Player, Griffin of Astoria Monday, May 20th, 2013 It was some kind of week for Ed Griffin of the Astoria Argonauts. First he hits the heck out of the ball, ripping it at a .435 clip and the next thing you know, he is voted the Player of the Week in the Blake Camden League. Last week Griffin went 10-23, chalked up 2 home runs and 8 RBIs and scored 5 runs. Not a bad week's work at all. In 27 games Griffin is hitting .374 this season with 37 hits, 4 home runs, 21 RBIs, 10 walks, .427 OBP and has scored 20 runs. |
